The Stansborough Brushed Wool throw rug is super airy and light, with organic crinkled fringing. Perfect for on the couch, outdoors as an added layer in front of a fire or on your bed adding warmth but not weight.

ABOUT WOOL:

Wool is an ACTIVE Fibre which means it reacts to changes in the body's temperature. It helps you to stay warm when the weather is cold and cool when the weather is hot.

It is also 100% biodegradable, natural and renewable.

In the warmer months we like to replace our devut (or doona) with a wool blanket, pairing it back with linen sheets. As both wool and linen are breathable fabrics, this is the ideal bedding combo for creating an amazing sleep.

ABOUT THE MAKER:

Stansborough is a Family Run, Carbon-Neutral Farm and Historic Textile Mill based in New Zealand. The Stansborough Grey Sheep is a unique breed and is only found on the Stansborough Family Farm. Once shorn the fleece is hand separated into the 3 Shades of Grey that naturally occurs on the sheep’s coat. This is then used in the Stansborough collections un-dyed, making it 100% natural. Where dye is used, they only over-dye (which means they don’t use bleach) and work with biodegradable and eco-friendly dyes. All Stansborough Collections are made on their Historic Looms which date back to the 1890s and are manned by skilled artisans who handcraft every throw and blanket. Stansborough products are 100% New Zealand Made from the Farm through to the finished product. The Farm is also home to Alpacas which they use to create blended wool collections in addition to working with NZ Merino, New Zealand Mohair and Certified Organic Bamboo.

Everything is Made to order, so allow 1 - 3 weeks for production plus delivery. For Australian & New Zealand Metro Areas, allow 5 business days for shipping. For regional areas in Australia and New Zealand, allow up to 10 business days for shipping.

From time to time, we have a small amount of stock, in those instances, we will ship your order within 3 business days.

Something to note, limitations due to COVID-19 can extend the delivery times. The above shipping estimates are based on pre-COVID times.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Dry Clean or Gently Hand Wash in Warm Water, using a Wool Wash. Lightly Spin to remove excess water, then lie flat to dry. Do not tumble dry or over agitate in a washing machine as this will cause felting.
